OT Services

Pediatric Occupational Therapists help children of all abilities achieve greater levels of independence to support engagement in the meaningful occupations of childhood. The Occupational Therapists and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants at Communication Innovations are trained to promote your child’s independence in play, academics, self-care routines, and social interactions. Participation in important childhood activities may look different for children with disabilities. Occupational Therapy evaluations help identify areas for skill development. Goals are established in consultation with the child and family and focus on increasing independence in identified areas. Intervention approaches are individualized to meet child specific needs.

The Occupational Therapists and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants of Communication Innovations have experience working with children of all abilities and a variety of diagnoses. Our therapists have worked with children in early intervention, at all levels of the school system, in hospitals, outpatient rehabilitation centers, in child and adolescent psychological care, and in pediatric
specialty clinics. Additionally,
